Red Velvet Cupcakes

I found a recipe for red velvet cupcakes in a Family Circus magazine at my Aunt and Uncle's house, and when I stayed the night to watch my cousins I decided to make them. They turned out a brown color and they were a little harder than I would have liked but they were super delicious. I wrote down the recipe on the back of a piece of paper and since the chances of me losing it is high I'm going to put the recipe here.

Ingredients:
2 3/4 Cups of All purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup ( 1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup sour cream
2 large eggs
1 bottle (1 ounce) Red food coloring
1/2 cup of 2% milk

(1)Preheat the oven to 350.
(2) Mix: flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
(2.5) In another bowl Mix butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the sour cream. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
(3) On a LOW speed beat dry mix, food coloring, and milk alternating between them. Fill your liners.
(4)Bake at 350 for about 23 minutes.
